If chocolate is your thing, you will love this Easter traybake recipe! It not only tastes delicious, but is so easy to put together- Happy Easter!
Serves 16 people
For any left over ganache, why not use it for dipping fruit, or make some delicious truffles. (sprinkles, chocolate eggs, chocolate chips etc)
Prepare your equipment: a piping bag
Pre-made sponge traybake in your favourite flavour
2 x 400 g Renshaw Belgian Chocolate Ganache
Easter themed decorations (sprinkles, chocolate eggs, chocolate chips etc)
Rainbow Dust Golden Belle Sparkle Dust
Filling your cake:
Take the pre-made traybake and cut in half horizontally.
Open one pot of Renshaw Belgian Chocolate Ganache, empty the contents into a mixer and whip with the beater attachment for 3 minutes, scrape down the sides & whip for a further minute. If you don’t have a mixer, you can also use an electric hand held whisk for this step.
Take approximately half of the whipped ganache and using a palette knife spread onto one half of the traybake.
Put the other half of the traybake back on top of the whipped ganache.
Decorating the cake:
Using a palette knife, take the remaining half of the whipped ganache and spread it on top of the traybake.
Place the decorations of your choice onto the whipped ganache.
Heat the second pot of ganache in the microwave following the on pack instructions.
Spoon the ganache into a piping bag, snip the end, and drizzle over the traybake.
To give your traybake the perfect finishing touch, give it a quick spray of Sparkle Dust!
